I am a practicing photographer, visual artist, researcher and art lecturer. I am currently working to complete a practice-led PhD in the disciplines of Fine Art and Philosophy. My wider practice looks to use photography as a means to explore and contemplate upon emotional connections with our intimate environments. My current work continues these discussions by focusing on explorations of cultural ideas of nature. Within this, I photograph untamed woodland areas as a means of discussing how pertinent emotional experiences of the natural world come about, and whether such experiences might instead be drawn from immersive interaction with photographs themselves.
